“Save the time of the reader” is the fourth of Ranganathan’s five laws of library science and a guiding principle for this blog. We hope the tips will alert you to useful sources of information and techniques for extracting the good stuff once you’re there. The info is geared toward patrons of the Brooks Memorial Library in Brattleboro, VT, but some of it will be helpful beyond our little town.

Tips will always tagged as such.  Posts without a Tip tag are Talk, and besides being annoyingly alliterative, they might tend to ramble, like that friend at the store who always has just one more thing to say. But sometimes that’s fun too. We hope you like the blog.

Credits: We plan to steal as many ideas as possible from my co-workers, so we thank them in advance — especially Leslie Markey, who maintains our staff blog. Many of the nice images are from Ender Design and flickr CC.
